Miserable, arrogant man who’s in way over his head but feels he’s the smartest in any room. The CEO of a Premier League football club who openly talks about preferring to spend his time playing video games and listening to music.

Hi Jeff, I see you’ve found reddit! Welcome!
According to the the recent Fan Advisory Board notes, you related to the board that:
>the previous nine to ten years as a completed cycle defined by coach-led recruitment, reliance on specific markets and strong dependence on individual coaches. While this model reached great heights, it also carried significant structural risk. Recruitment in the most recent window has not been good enough, he acknowledged, and has contributed to the team’s current position. The new cycle, beginning with Rob Edwards, is designed to be more balanced and club-led.
My first question is: don’t you think that it’s extremely convenient that the last 10 years are part of a “cycle” that you now believe is over, at the exact point that you’re under the most pressure? And further, was this ten-year cycle planned? and with respect to the final line (I understand it may not be a direct quote), why would the previous cycle not have been “balanced” by design?
Second question: Would you say that previous coaches during this ten-year cycle would agree with your characterization that the recruitment was “coach-led” during their tenures?
