Denmark head coach Kasper Hjulmand was left to rue two defeats to Croatia in Nations League Group A1, as the ‘Red and Whites’ beat France 2-0 on Sunday but missed out on a semi-final place by a single point.
Kasper Dolberg and Andreas Skov Olsen both scored in the first half against ‘Les Bleus’, and Denmark finished the group stage on 12 points after losing home and away to Croatia.
The ‘Blazers’ won 3-1 away to Austria – who were relegation to Nations League B – on Sunday to top the final standings on 13 points.
