This is the best England squad in decades and the best England manager since Ramsey. They could do well. What is Burley talking about? He needs to find a new career.
Think Phil needs to look at how the draw works again, the quarter final would almost certainly be against a pot 1/top 10 or whatever team. I did read something today, depending on which group England are drawn in we might not face a fellow group winner (assuming we win our group) until the quarter finals, that's pretty bizarre if that happens. There is a real possibility even if it's remote that we won't play anyone particularly threatening until the quarter finals and obviously can't face Spain Argentina or France until after that either. Feel like you need an earlier test so you aren't undercooked.
