Not sure why he’d exclude Guilherme, Marshall can interim on the left but without Fullkrug he’d surely be the striker sub and Earthy is a 10, I suppose he could go wide but it’s not at all his forte. If Bowen needs to go off then we don’t have a sub for him.
Kante on the bench is nice though and makes sense with 2 DMs.
Not sure about this one overall. Feel we should be trying to exploit width rather than keeping compact, and as much as I like Soucek I do get nervous seeing him start because it’s a massive concession of possession. Maybe it’s offset by a strong midfield though.
