We spent some time last summer with FC Dallas talking about player development (more on that to come) and got a chance to speak with Kellyn Acosta. The progress he has made since our conversation has been remarkable, and it seems as though the keys to the U.S. midfield for the Gold Cup are his and a roster spot in Russia is likely.
In our interview, Kellyn talks about his road to the FC Dallas first team via the Dallas club circuit, making his pro debut at 16, and the importance of getting pro playing time at an early age.
