      Nervous about having to do that again on Tuesday, but glad to take the win. Takeaways are of course that the offense looks more lethal when Silva comes on and we give them changes, and that we consistently start to choke when Kovac makes defensive subs to try to preserve a lead.

      1/2 Wont be easy in the Pokal either but huge for the confidence and the race for CL.
      Adeyemi and Anselmino both were huge and really want Adeyemi to sign a new contract for Christmas.

      A much needed away win against an in form Leverkusen will always be good. And in Dortmund fashion we had to clench at the end. Could have been so different if Brandt just buried that chance.

      We are in a good position and I have no doubt that we will win at home. Great fight from the team but it sucks that we have a clean sheet drought now after getting so many early on.

      Side note: when is the last time we scored two headers in a game?

      Dortmund fans,how’s Kovac been so far? I see that the results are solid but are you satisfied with how your team looks and do you think he’s the right guy for the job now?

      Not really pleased, but a win is a win.

      Good about the two goals we saw, not loving all the wasted chances from Brandt, and hating how easy they scored their goal.

      Good about the three points, not loving that it was so close to choking.

      And specially not loving the subs and sub strategy of going all in on defense. It worked today, but that’s one Vs all the times it DIDN’T work. This coach is just not The right man for the job long term.

      In the end, is still a victory; but I’m not feeling like celebrating. It’s more of a relief sensation. Line catching your son before he goes jumping off a tree and breaking his arm.

      We really need a good ballholding 6 that is pressing resistant with some speed.

      Besides Nmecha, there is a huge hole in midfield that no one can fill in terms of quality.

      Overall decent performance. Silva should start on Tuesday, but we know he will not. Carney has been rested the past two games, so I assume he starts on Tuesday over Brandt. Jobe is still not getting the minutes he needs. Can not tell why Kovac rotates the way he does in certain games. No reason to be resting a 20-year-old player who has barely been injured throughout his career. He is benched in favor of Sabitzar, whose performances have been shaky, but I also expect him to start on Tuesday. Kovac is allergic to playing the new signings.
