  1. Newcastle need another 2 or 3 transfer windows to cement they’re place in now top 7, Leicester are in a group of 8 or 9 teams every year fighting for the remaining top 3 top 10 spots, Rogers like Moyes went into this season with credit in the bank so will survive, if either teams struggle and aren’t in those 3 spots are vulnerable as they’ve used up all their credit, it’s the reason Gerrard went he arrived at Villa with very little credit in the bank and didn’t get into those crucial 8/9/10 spots in the league. If a team is in those spots and any of the big 7 have a poor season, like Chelsea are this season you have a shot at Europe and the money it brings. Every decision, every statement either official or leaked has a bottom line, it makes no difference what fans say or think or what managers do to try to change the narrative, the bean counters have the final say every time.

  2. In fairness to Brendan, they bought well and coached well, to be able to sell those players for huge fees. They didn't buy them for huge fees so Simon needs to temper his argument to take that into account because it's hard to sustain that, especially when they are now they are selling more and buying less than they were before as well.

  3. Why are people moaning about how much money we've got now, we didnt blame other clubs for having money when we were under ashley, we complained about ashley not investing in the team but we didn't moan about the big teams having more money than us, it's ridiculous.

  4. A lot of it correct but Leicester did not win the league with homegrown players as he said. The key players were Vardy, Mahrez, Kante Drinkwater, Huth, Big Wes, scmeichal, None of them homegrown.

  5. Yeah simons got a great point when you’re selling fridges for Β£80mil and walking sick notes for Β£75mil it’s kinda hard to have a positive net spend which they actually have πŸ˜‚

  6. Brendon most over reated manager by media as media love him like media love klopp , when Liverpool had them bad injuries liesciester was 14 points clear in top and needed 2 or 3 wins too qualify for champions league and they blew it.

Aston villa had too buy a completely new squad when they was promoted hence the extra 100 million spent. Villa too playing catch up like Newcastle villa not spend wisely and there scouts should be sacked

  7. Didn't he say the opposite about klopp ? I'm confused, honestly I like Jordan he speaks sense but on this one : "double standards"

  8. I've supported Nottingham Forest for 46 years and it's been a 50 50 split Under Cloughie we had nearly 18 superb years But after its been pretty poor really Frank Clarke got us straight back up after Cloughie retired but inevitably the glory days and those magnificent players drifted away Theres been the odd glimpse of the good old days but mostly not Now we are back after 23 years I'm 54 now was 31 the last time we were in the prem Sorry this is about Leicester They had a great run under Martin O Neil winning league cup getting into Europe etc Then they drifted away and nowt really happened Ranieri got the team sorted after Nigel Pearson did a re build there And they won the prem then F A Cup So all in all if I was a Leicester fan I'd be happy Brendon Rogers is a fantastic manager who almost won the prem for Liverpool And the training plus experience he's had is 2nd to none If he is sacked or let go Leicester will have to recover from that which could take a mighty long time Give him some money to spend LET the players know who don't want to be there where they can get off and get this club fired up again The fans are brilliant the stadium is magnificent and the owners who have had the worst tragedy seem to want success the same as everyone else Good luck and do the right thing ⚽πŸ₯…πŸŽ§πŸ˜ŽπŸŒΉOh and someone tell old bid ed Simon to zip his cake hole shut

  9. Nobody's bothered when clubs like West ham, villa and Everton spend hundreds of millions but it is a problem when clubs considered outside of the elite spend money and start shaking up the pot at the top where the monopoly is, newcastle have a target on their back because people are either jealous or scared of what they are now capable of and seeing how well they've done with just 200m investment is terrifying to them

  10. imo the reason why they won't sack him is because he has to many arguments like if the owners was to sack him all brendan has to say well you didn't back me in the transfer window, you did not get the players i wanted, thats all he has to say and thats why i wouldn't sack him but i must say he needs to stop being negative and get on with the job

  11. i don't agree with brendans comments on Newcastle but it is true, Newcastle have outspent majority of clubs in the EPL so far in the previous transfer windows and are going to continue that as well. You can't deny that lol

  12. Simon nailed it. Brendan Rodgers is protecting brand Brendan. He hasn't been getting the best out of the squad at his disposal over the past 18 months or so and he has been trying to get the sack so that he has the excuse that it is everyone else's fault other than his own. He is so incredibly slippery and it's nice that at least someone in the media is calling him out for his own shortcomings.

  13. Leicester won a league title and an FA cup in recent seasons , and were never considered as elite , and although Newcastle are potentially a bigger club than Leicester , they still haven't won anything since the 1967 fairs cup .

  14. We all know Simon Jordan hates Newcastle. Mainly because we finally got rid of his useless buddy "cheesy chips" Bruce. It's going to give him so much heartburn if we start winning things. I really don't get the hate. If its because of the ownership well I'm sorry to tell you but they're involved in every major sport on the planet. You may as well stop watching sport altogether if your moral compass is pinging.
