Marina might be a good business woman but clueless about football. She is the worst when it comes to signings. we ended up with the likes of drinkwater, zapacosta, bakayoko, morata, etc. You cant compare this to the likes of fabregas, diego costa, ramires, oscar, matic etc. Chelsea is finished under this woman, she is clueless about football. We should be targeting the likes of koulibaly, Dembele of Barcelona etc not these average footballers
As for income we must agree that sales/franchising/advertising etc brings more in than bums on seats. And the best way to do that is buying players that will catch the eye of these buyers/investors. Thers will have been many US Blues that bought Puli shirts when he came. Just as many got Costa etc. But who really have we bought for ages to sell these things? Our main walking bank – Eden – has gone. I can't see many rimming out to get Willian shirts.
Picture signing Nathan ake to play at left back the guy is a central defender even if he can dabble a bit in DM and LB this is not what we need at LB, smh

Personally I would take diop from West Ham, younger, looks like a bodyguard (like Zouma and Rudiger) and possibly has more potential over Ake

Ake for 50m? This is unbelievable. Liverpool's entire backline less VVD cost 30m. Yes, 30m. Lovren, Gomez and Robertson have a combined TOTAL cost of 30m. (TAA and Matip both free). Klopp has exposed other managers. If Lampard goes ahead to endorse 50m for Ake then it is rather unfortunate. Our scouts should learn to do their jobs. Ake for 50m? Woooooooooooooow
Apparently Lampard really rates Christensen and refuses to let him go.
Lets remember Christensen is still 23, and can become a very good player.
I personally saw him as Chelseas biggest defencing talent for years, and he might still be.
If you look at him he is lagging in confidens, so a loan move or playing FA/Carabao under Frank Lampard will be the way to get him going.
As for Ake coming I dont see how it makes a difference to Alonso going. Ake is 95% CB – WE NEED a GOOD partner for Rudii. We ALSO need a LB We cant just get Ake and stick him in LB – his unusual position – and leave ourselves in a mess in CB because to I love Happy we need better, Tomori isnt ready, AC isnt good enough.

Wonder why Chelsea don't go for an LB like Telles? Technical 27 y/o player, seems like an overdue for him to leave Porto, and costs only €40m.
Sell Alonzo and sign Ake, we really desperately need a good LB and Nathan Ake is a great option.
