Not sure Martinez was as bad as you've made out Ste. Solid enough, first start in 3 weeks or so. Nothing to worry about. McTominay on the other hand was woeful. His United career is dangling.
lets be honest – while it was a win- it took us ages again to finish this game- City would have done it in 30 mins – so while we are happy, lets not get too far ahead of ourselves
I think ETH saw what ste has concerns regarding Licha. That's why he's been not starting him. I saw a post few days ago saying Eric is not liking about Licha's attitude since returning from WC. If thats so than I worry Haaland will roast him. I hope having Case in front of him will settle him down.
Since Ronaldo left United, having previously struggled for goals, have scored 3 goals in 4 of the last 5 games. The team are finding it easier to score goals and be more effective all round without Ronaldo. Sadly, it seems that some of you were right all along. Ronaldo was one of United’s big problems, both on and off the pitch.
First half was very shaky , i could clearly see that these guys weren't used to playing together. Moving the ball around is basically breathing for these guys but in the final third , you need a certain amount of knowledge about your teammates which was clearly missing the Antony goal was out side the box. Second half they picked up on it and looked like they were gonna equalise , forcing ETH to bring on the quality missing in the first half.
The fact that Casemiro didn't play against City last we played them when we got moved fills me with confidence going into Saturday's game knowing he will be there to do what he does best.

Martinez being shite – almost as if going on the piss for a month after a month of doing nothing is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
If any of the players who were at the club last season had acted the same way as Martinez over the last few weeks, Ten Hag would want them sacked for "discipline". But it's one of his favourites so nothing is said
Don't agree with Hodson this time, I thought Martinez and even Maguire played okay.
In the first half I didnt see much wrong with Martinez. I just saw the first half.
Re the Derby; The midfield went man to man last time out and got pulled all over the pitch creating overloads and too many passing options for City. Marcus was the only forward pressing which gave Ederson, playing as a sweeper, and their CBs, who split wide, far too much time and space to pick passes to their inverted full backs. When Anthony did press it created more space for Ederson to drop balls into midfield.
We need everyone completely switched on, consistently playing a high press from the front and NOT giving possession away.
I'd start Garnacho, Rashford and Pellestri, Fred, Erickson, Casemiro, Shaw, Martinez, Varane, Wan Bissaka and Dave.
Don't think Bruno can be risked to start (but he will), he's not in good form and gives far too much possession away, we can't afford that against City, same goes for Anthony. It's a shame we didn't sign Weghorst last week, he'd be ideal for this. Unfortunately this game has come too soon for Sancho to make his come back, I'd fancy him to score against City if he was in good form. With Donny probably out for the season, once he gets his confidence back, I'd like to see what Jadon could do as an alternative to Bruno in the No. 10 role, I think Bruno needs the threat of competition to bring the best out of him and it wouldn't hurt to be able to rest and rotate him. It's too soon to give him the Captain's Armband, personally I think Casemiro should have it.
It's games like this that really bring home just how poor our squad depth still is. I think our only hope is that Rashford and our wingers push up hard and totally disrupt City's supply line, maybe nick a goal, Casemiro and Fred shield the defence, who also have to play a blinder and Marcus grabs us a breakaway winner in the last few minutes. Think we'll have to play City at their own game and make a lot of tactical fouls. I'd certain be happy with a draw but we need to take a minimum of 7 points from our next 3 games imho.
Casemiros pass to pelistris assist was just something else man, even the commentator stuttered and was left in awe 🤣
To beat City, United have to able to have some decent share of the ball and transition quickly, getting the ball to Rashford. I don't think solely counter attack will work now. I think City are ready for that.
I don't get this arguement of elanga and pelestri, Elanga was running his boots out in the game, he was the leader of the pressing and I think he deserves credit for that

Few question marks heading into the city game as not everyone is firing on all cylinders like Rashy, Shaw and Cas. With Varane just below them. But those four are a spine that can be the difference in any game.
I actually think the rest of the defensive line up can carry martinez. Martinez is at 80% – I think carrying him is easier than carrying Maguire and his left footedness gives us balance.
I agree with you re swapping Dalot for Wan-Bissaka to give us more control. Currently wan bissaka’s defensive game is stronger than Dalot’s attacking game. Defenses win you titles!
So LB is shaw, CB varane CB martinez and RB bissaka.
Casemiro will offer a bit of stability in the middle and help Bruno and eriksen find their strides and not be overwhelmed by the occasion.
Antony also offers a lot defensively and may bag a goal even while playing badly so he just about starts for me. He must be subbed at 70’ for pillestri I think. Pillestri should get the minutes elanga was getting he’s got a point to prove. It’s a wild card but that also helps unsteady opposition.
Martial is up front if available. Would love Weghorst to be on the bench (wishful thinking)

Martinez hasnt really played as much as the rest of the defence i think he needs some rythm and a run of games then he is back to what he is. Didnt do too badly either but not the level we are used to from him.
Pellestri is better than Antony let alone Elanga.

Maguire is trash, should be sold ASAP, mctom is a waste (does a job but doesnt do one thing well to deserve playing time).
Marcus needs to be given whatever he wants in a new contract, tie him down long long term, hes future captain.

TBH i am excited to see us in the form that we are in however City still scare me when we play them. Haaland is just not human and if he is not kept quiet(almost never happend) he is gonna run rampant. City have too many players that know how to destribute a ball properly to the striker and with a striker like that… fucking hell. I think its gonna be a game of attacking and all we need to do is outscore them.

First great video but i cant agree on the double poor performance by the CB . Maguire should not be going forward he loses it too much , no ball control when presseured by team. Which leaves defence open . Thats my view

Maguire was the best CB on the pitch last night. I find it odd that your singling him out in 3-nil victory. Exactly why I stopped subscribing to this channel and just dip in occasionally. Once you dislike a player the microanalysising they receive in comparison to the rest of their team mates is always gonna result in complaints given there is no such thing as a perfect footballer..
