This arsenal fan is a joke
Depends if we want to be challenging at the top end or not. I seem to remember Nketiah was our main man up front when we somehow missed out on Top 4 last season. I have no idea why we didn't even try and get involved in the Gakpo transfer. That's the level we should be playing at if we are serious.
Somehow despite his stats it’s hard for us to think Eddie can be relied on for half a season or any length of time because he is not a big name nor done it for many seasons in a row.
I’d keep on giving him game time. He’ll only score/improve with more time out on the pitch. I don’t think we’ll need a striker. Capable of scoring from different departments.
I wish Chelsea had those two. Great finish that 2nd goal last night.
Eddie is class honestly. He’s been so so good in these 4 starts that he’s had, and you can tell working with Jesus and the individual coaching of Arteta has really helped him out. Eddie is our second choice striker and compare that to the other big six clubs. Spurs don’t have a natural backup striker, Chelsea don’t have a backup striker (you could even make the case that Eddie is a better player than Aubameyang nowadays), United are looking to sign Weghorst as their backup striker. Only Liverpool have better depth at backup striker with Firmino and City have Alvarez who’s still learning his trade.
Not only should Eddie be our backup striker, he deserves to stay in the team when Jesus comes back. Whether that means Jesus and Eddie play as a partnership or Jesus plays out wide im not sure, but Eddie isn’t an issue anymore. What we need is another LW because Martinelli hasn’t been at the races for a little while now and we need another option to freshen it up, so hopefully Mudryk gets done soon.
Nketiah plays well, consistently scores and that's still not good enough for most Arsenal fans!
We definitely need another striker. With not knowing when Jesus is returning, We are short in strikers. Eddie gets injured we fxcked. So is defensive Mid. Party goes off, it’s last season all over again.
Wout Weghorst can do a job for Arsenal. Nketia is a great striker. Balogun (away on loan) is also lethal. However, Arsenal needs a different profile striker to change the game. A big target-man. A route-one striker.
To say some Arsenal fans are clueless is an understatement, you have a good player like Nketiah and he isn't still good enough?
He is a better finisher than Jesus, you guys should be glad he is at Arsenal..

A back up striker? No. Eddie is fine for that. We need a winger and a CDM. Mudryk and Declan Rice would be perfect.

Eddie was one of our best on the pitch against newcastle, tons of movement, good holdup, tried to make things happened and a good kick save from pope saved the game… Lee doesn’t really know what he’s watching.
All we need is a winger and esr fit and give viera game time.

Buy Rice for a backup to TP. Plus we can rotate them if he works out. Winger and a striker. But these player's need to fit the system. But If Eddie keeps scoring than the problem is already fixed.
Arsenal fans shouldn't underrate Eddie Nketiah the way they did Oliver Giroud. Many wish OG was still at the club.
