Only loss to Argentina and France the 2 teams in the final we was 3rd
Australia has the misfortune of going up against the 2 strongest teams in the tournament Argentina and France, had they been put in a different bracket they could have at least made quarter finals
There's plenty to be positive about. Finished our group level on points with eventual finalists France. Two clean sheets and knocked out by the eventual winners. When you consider that the likes of Germany, Belgium and Uruguay didn't qualify out of the group stages, it makes our achievement even more special.
