Igamane had the potential to be it – but we only kept him for a season, regularly played him out of position – and then sold him for much less than he was probably worth.
I havent seen anyone playing for us, with that much potential, in easily 20 years.
Not in my lifetime.
I was a lucky wee boy. Sitting at Ibrox watching Gazza and Laudrup .
I can’t see us ever having world class players .
Although Thelwell tells us Chermiti will be 🤦.
This is what we’re up against.
Never again will we have a player as gifted as Gazza. Some of us had the absolute privilege of going to watch some amazing players at ibrox.. I still remember how gutted I was when McCoist played his last game.
Never again. The funds and prestige aren’t there for world-class players anymore. We might see a young talent who just explodes onto the scene, but in that case they’ll be scooped up by a bigger club the following season. The days of Gazza, Laudrup, even McCoist, are gone. If you were around for them, consider yourself lucky.
