It wasn’t just winning, it was how they did it. Youth, tactics, swagger, and zero fear. The kind of story modern football rarely gives us anymore.

  1. I don’t know if it was a cinderella story. They had one of the best club squads of the mid 90s and it was regarded as such. The bosman ruling hadn’t destroyed financial competitiveness in European competitions yet. The way the team dissolved after this win was a sign of things to come though.
