Sorry to say this….but Gareth Southgate is sadly not even at EPL managerial level
He NEEDS to go for the greater good of England.
southgate has beaten- colombia, sweeden, germany (a german side thats failed to get out of the group stages 2 consecutive world cups) denmark and senegal. ALL sides England are expected to beat. Each and EVERY time theyve faced a big nation equal to them or better under southgate, they have failed, croatia and belgium in 2018, italy in 2020 and france this year. Hes done ok, nothing more, nothing less, if English media is praising him than the expectations must be very very low for England.
Not a good manager at all even as player he was a failure
They got the penalty because Theo Hernandez is a fool…he didn't need to push him as that ball was unreachable
Think he is waiting to see if any top club comes for him otherwise he’ll stay
Won as many knockout games for England in six years as England won in the previous 49 years … whilst there are better management options out there none would be mad enough to take the England job as either foreign born or maybe 3 young English managers in good clubs positions that they won’t change at the moment …… part off me kinda hopes he gives it up and then all his haters see England fall back again . Yes especially before this tournament some off his subs were wrong or just too late … but any England manager simply cannot win dammed if he makes your changes and it doesn’t work and dammed if he doesn’t … so many people cannot see that. Maybe it’s time to get big Sam back so people get some sort off perspective!
It will never come home when you have too many white players in your team. My black brothers must take over the England team , a couple of minority players is not enough.
🇫🇷 hopes that he stays put. Same with Kane.
I'm hoping he retires that minging zipped sweater he borrowed of his grandad.
Be lucky to get a championship side
He should be a dustman next
Nice guys finish last we need a ruthless winner english or not. I would appoint Tuchel all day long. Else we be here time after time.
These idiots went deeper as far as they could. Only god can send them into the semi finals and finals but I doubt whether these ‘ golly good fellows’ would even lift the trophy under god’s management
can someone tell me who gave danny mills his england caps and why ?
He should go
Southgate’s butt must be nice and moist after this thorough ass kissing… 😂
Get Him Out or We Rioting 🙏🏽
Take Slab Head with You
& Kane with You 👍🏽
Change is Needed ‼️
All these Pandit to make me sick 💩
Happy being 2nd best
This is the act of Cowards
We need a Winner in Charge
That doesn’t Pick his Favourites
He Picks the Best Players to represent England
You Mug 🍵
Why is he still considering level? Is int he convinced he could not competent to manage England. No strategy at all from him at any level
He got to go for his love for useless kane.
Keep Gareth Southgate on. He is not to blame for Englands loss. England was a better team. France should thank their keeper.
Quicker the better…
Hey Simon
Hey Tim
Hey Tom
Get him out I’m sick of seeing his face useless bottlejob
Who are these women??
This is the issue Gareth is Mr nice guy, Mr inclusive! That's why all these media pundits and the FA like him. You need someone though –
These pundits knows how to defend Gareth so well and make team England suffer in which the team is full of star studded players yet cannot reach even Semi Final in a major tournament like World cup..Omg!!!!
Southgate out
Southgate's done quite a few things:
1: He brought and trusted young talent to great effect even though he faced much criticism when he did that e.g. when he introduced guys like tripier pickford. Before him England managers would just invite anyone established as a big name in premier league at the time even if they were past their best or in bad form, just to keep it "safe" and avoid much criticism from England's fraknly impossible audience.
2: He meade the national team look like an actual team with proper tactical systems and automations. Before Southgate there was a collection of players on the pitch doing the best they can on their own initiative, certainly not a proper team. National teams are not like club teams and to see a national team perform like a proper team is quite rare in international football, very few teams have ever managed to do this. Because in their clubs people have professional contracts, they get paid serious money, their careers are on the line and they get to play and practice with each other every day.National teams are a quite different beast. The best club manager would not necessarily make a half decent national team manager, and quite possibly vice versa I guess. And say what you will about the tactics he introduced like it or not, but this is much better than put whoever is the fans favourite on the pitch and just "go out and do your best". This takes quite a lot of effort and excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Never before Southgate in my lifetime, some 11 world cups until now have I ever seen England play as a proper team.
3: The players respect him and each other and there is a good chemistry between them, this is also the work of the team manager to make sure that the people he chooses can work together well but also to maintain that good atmosphere in the team through good and bad times.
4: Southgate has outperformed every other England manager since 1966. And 1966 wasn't quite the clean one either, being hosted in England aside, the two semi finals ended up one with an English referee, the other with a German one courtesy of the then British FIFA president sir Stanley Rous's secret ref "lottery" that only him and the German representative saw, with the final coincidentally ending up being England v Germany, but that's a topic for a different discussion.
By any metric England has had good, solid performances since Southgate took over. The only problem England has, is people's unrealistic expectations. The manager's job is to make sure that the team plays as best as possible and that he has succeeded. Guess what, in football not always the best side wins especially when teams are closely matched in strength. England may have lost to France in the quarter final even if it played better than them and when you play better than the defending champions, France I don't see how things can get better under different management. People should keep in mind that Enland may have good players but not the very best in existence, nor did so at any point in living memory, and England is not considered the favourite to win the world cup by anyone. People setting the bar for the national team so high that not conquering the world cup is considered a failure are quite frankly, insane. It can and may eventually happen, but the only way England can win the world cup is with massive tons of luck and/or helpful referees against the other favourites. None of which is under a manager's control. All a manager can do is make sure the team is always in it to win it and performs well on any given day. Which the current manager and the team has done time and again. Messing around with that is just a recipe for disaster.
If it's not broken don't fix it.
A fair manager, but we don’t want a fair manager, or a nice guy manager, or a cautious, ( Maguire sideways to Stones and repeat 50 times ) manager. I want an OCD winner , with a nasty streak a mile wide, in fact Thomas Tuchel. I’ve seen names like Gerard and Rooney mentioned ! In that case , get Allardyce back to play retro 1965 football. . The FA , who selected the likes of Allardyce, Sven whatsisname, and Hodgson would pick one of them. Forget the nationality, get the best and pay him the money, and get England playing progressive football, and if we haven’t got the players to do it, Why not ?
He should step aside now while achieving his best run.
Let someone more experienced take over.
