He was linked to us back in the summer as well:

Manchester United and Tottenham have submitted inquiries about AIK’s 16-year-old striker Kevin Filling

    >AIK’s Kevin Filling had a dream debut in the Allsvenskan when the 16-year-old scored in his debut against IFK Göteborg.

    >Since then, the striker has been sidelined with an injury that has kept him out of action.

    >

    >Now, Expressen reports that both Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in Filling and have made concrete inquiries about the player.

    >

    >It is worth adding to the information that after Brexit (the UK’s withdrawal from the EU), English clubs cannot sign foreign players before they turn 18.

    >

    >But according to the newspaper, Manchester United wanted to sign the 16-year-old and then loan him to Lausanne in Switzerland. Tottenham are also said to have proposed a deal where Filling is bought and then loaned back to AIK.

    >

    >The PL clubs are reportedly keen to sign Filling before he breaks through further and the price increases.

    >

    >According to the newspaper’s information, however, AIK is not interested in selling Filling at this time.

    >

    >Shortly after Filling’s Allsvenskan debut, the striker signed a three-year A-team contract with “Gnaget”.

Sign 10 talented youngsters for 3m each =30m. Develop them and if only one was to succeed that’s a win. Better strategy than lumping 100m on 1 player I reckon. More sustainable anyway

  4. Don’t think we’ll get him simply because the earliest he could join us would be in Jan 2027 when he’ll be 18. Probably have moved to Bundesliga or another league in Europe who can sign him now (Jan) if he’s that good.

  5. Love seeing news like this. No idea who he is but I like this transfer strategy.

If for the next season or two we’re going with signing young to prime level players that can contribute immediately. Then at the same time signing lots of highly rated 16-18 year olds, the hope is that some of these players will be able to contribute by the time the prime players are leaving theirs.

  6. Not ready to start, but whenever theres a cavity in the front line, I have a feeling hes a great solution

I really like these low risk signings also I just looked up his name on youtube, because of course I did, and there’s already a 2 month old „Welcome to Man Utd“ compilation video of him lol

  8. I missed the hashtag and thought he was a one named wonderkid called Kevin.

Like Ronaldo, but if he was born in Birmingham.

  9. Looks like a unit. 16, 6’1 already with a Rooney-esque build playing first team football already. Bring him in quick before Chelsea catch wind of him!
