Was wondering where these guys ended up as I remember saying to my friend “some of these guys will cost £50m one day”. Interested to see how wrong I was haha. Was a great game and great occasion, our team played out of their skin but just weren’t fit or strong enough to see the game out.

  1. Not all of them, but I picked out three. I think the one who has made it furthest is Nnamdi Collins. He is now a regular player at Eintracht Frankfurt and has an estimated market value of €18 million. I think Mane made the most appearances for us, alongside Brunner, who had too high expectations and therefore moved to AS Monaco.

Unfortunately, there is no real permeability between our youth academy and the professional department. That’s why we’ll never see many of the players in black and yellow.

  2. Edit: Copying from your previous post

Ostrzinski is chilling in our u23s. It’s unlikely he’ll make the step up to the first team with us.

Mane is a talented youth product but unfortunately injuries took him out last season and with this season, he unfortunately didn’t take his opportunity after he gave away a penalty and red card in the opening game of the season. More than likely, he’ll be going on loan next summer but our CB situation will be getting revamped so he may be trusted.

Nnamdi Collins is having success as a starter/rotational player for a good Frankfurt side. We sold him because he didn’t see an opportunity in the first team and he suffered many injuries. Not necessarily one that got away but I’m happy he’s been able to get some success.

Cisse, I genuinely don’t know. Completely forgot about them.

Prince Aning. I recall him having injuries early into his time at Dortmund and he unfortunately hasn’t been able to make the step up too. He’s still in the u23s.

Walz left the club and I’ve not heard about him. From what I can see, he’s in the fourth division of football.

Kamara had injury issues with the u23s and left. He looked a decent talent but never had rhythm.

Gürpuz went to Turkey along with his brother. I’m unsure which one played at the time. Doesn’t seem like either have made a name for themselves yet there.

Paris Brunner. He was meant to be a golden boy but when we were looking to sign him to a professional contract, he wanted guarantees for game time that we couldn’t give him. We sold him to Monaco and he spent last season at their sister club on loan. Didn’t seem to do much there.

Julian Rijkhoff went back to Ajax. He felt he was ready for minutes but we disagreed at the time. Seems like Ajax also agreed last I checked after they brought him back.

Samuel Bamba went to Bochum on a free. I believe he’s on loan in the Netherlands.

All in all, nobody was able to make the step up to this level unfortunately. If you are interested, our current u19s have some nice talents coming up, key players include Mathis Albert, Tom Faust and Jan Luca-Reidl

  3. I am pretty sure Kamara just went back to Germany this summer with Saarbrücken signing him in 3. Liga and it looks like he is a regular player either being subbed on or starting XI
