A couple of points of note in what as expected is a soft ball internal rangers tv interview:
1. He acknowledges they screwed up and is committing to make things right.
2. He openly admits to not really understanding the scale and magnitude of the club and its supporter base until recently.
3. He comes across as a reasonable guy and polished corporate US exec as you would expect.
4. However it does not excuse the fact that he has his 2 lead guys in Stewart and Thelwell who are responsible for day to day operations of Rangers FC that so far look utterly incompetent and out of their depth. If Danny Rohl was genuinely their preferred candidate then they could have had him taking training the day after RM was sacked as he was available and out of contract with Sheffield.
It utterly stinks that they were not prepared for the train wreck that was the last few weeks of RM tenure. Unless these 2 get their act together immediately their positions are not sustainable.
Even if we managed to miraculously win the treble this year (of which there is zero chance realistically), I can’t see the majority of Rangers fans ever accepting these 2.

Kept expecting him to swivel to camera, raise a glass and say (with intensity):
For relaxing times, make it Suntory times.

Can’t wait for the Thelwell interview. Is Danny Rohl one of the best coaches you’ve ever seen, Kevin ?
