I just do not understand all the stick towards southgate, first two tournaments with the team and he gets a semi-final and a final.
Yes we had very easy draws but since when do England not ALWAYS get easy draws?? And look at germany spain and france, they didnt exactly have the toughest routes to their world cup victories either.
The 2002 – 06 england generation had much more character and experience than this current crop and they couldnt get past a quarter final, English players are not (and never will be) in the same bracket as players from the above mentioned nations to name a few.
As English supporters we should be happy with the progress we've made under southgate, the nations league is only a bunch of friendlies anyway so who cares.

England fans don't like him because he is clueless. We don't care about the nations league results, hasn't anything to do with it. He's not a managers as he doesn't know how to manage a game. But had the easiest routes. But other teams got over the finish line. We at home for the entire Euro's except one game, piss easy teams we faced. The only reason he got the job is because he makes the perfect "Yes Man" and we all know how the various National FA's love a Yes Man. Which is why Guardiola and Mourinho will never Manage a National Team, when they really should. The "only" reason England made the Semi and that Final, was because of the draw's they were given. As soon as a Nation worth mentioning came along, Belgium (twice!), Croatia, Italy, that was the end of that.
