Does the spend include purchase for players in installments? Since we don’t know the inticates of each deal and only an estimated hearsay gross transfer fee amount for each player then could it be this or even more.
I think we had £5m off the bat to fork out for cortes if I’m not mistaken, also as some mentioned there may be a few loan fees.
Edit: This must include wages, I forgot we essentially got £11m for our two Lbs, £12 for Igamane and £4.5 for Desserts, £1-1.5m for MacCausland. That would put our gross spend to about £40m.

Did anyone doubt this? Thelwell gave that figure and I never thought it was in question.
Paper reporting is absolutely shite in general, in terms of who paid what and how it will be paid.

How can this even be remotely true? I think they don’t know what “net” means. Obviously it’s not 100% but even transfermarket has it roughly balanced:
