Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has suffered a heartbreaking injury 💔 after a heavy collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma during the Club World Cup quarter-final on July 5, 2025.
The clash happened just before halftime as Musiala chased a through ball into the box. Donnarumma came charging out, and the two collided hard 😢. Musiala immediately went down in clear pain and was stretchered off moments later 🧎♂️🩼.
🏥 Bayern confirmed he suffered a fractured fibula and a dislocated ankle, an injury that will require surgery and keep him sidelined for 4–5 months 😞. He was flown back to Munich for treatment on July 6.
Coach Vincent Kompany said, “My blood was boiling. It’s such a cruel blow for Jamal.” Bayern captain Manuel Neuer called the challenge “reckless,” while Donnarumma and several PSG players expressed support and well wishes 🙏.
This is a huge setback for both Bayern and Germany, as Musiala had just returned from a previous injury and was expected to play a key role in the upcoming season 💔🇩🇪.

Donnarumma at fault 💯 He made contact with Musiala first. You are not allowed to go through an opponent to get to 50/50 ball. Penalty and a red card with a 10 game ban.

That’s clearly an honest challenge and the reactions of Neuer and Kompany who are implying it was a heavy challenge tell you a lot about their characters or lack of.

È un bruttissimo infortunio dispiace tantissimo però non si possono chiudere gli occhi davanti alla realtà si vede benissimo che il pallone è dall altra parte e donnaruma va sul pallone musiala doveva saltare donnaruma come fanno tutti i giocatori forse cercava il rigore. I went to the kitchen to get another can of Lemon Coke (if you’ve not already tasted Coca Cola’s new flavour try it as it’s become my favourite drink. They do zero and regular though regular is harder to get hold of which is what I drink) and when I come back I see Donnarumma with his head in his hands. I asked my dad what happened to which he told me “I’m not too sure” so I told him that if he’s not going to pay attention when I’m not there then I’m not going to invite him over to my house to watch football again. I thought it has to be serious if Donnarumma has his head in his hands and looks like he’s crying and they’re not showing a reply so I thought two things (I didn’t know it was Musiala at this point thanks DAZN) Musiala has fallen over Donnarumma’s back while jumping up for a header and landed on the top of his head or neck breaking his C1 and C2 vertebra and he’s paralysed from his neck down or he’s broken his C1 and C2 vertebrae and it’s killed him instantly. Thankfully it’s not what I thought

Poteva saltarlo?cercava un fallo?i giocatori professionisti sanno con precisione quando cè il rischio di fare e farsi male.poi alla fine il portiere è andato sul pallone.nell episodio ha avuto la peggio l attaccante ma poteva avere la peggio il portiere come potevano non subire niente come farsi male tutti e due.. l attaccante voleva andare a tutti i costi su un pallone che non avrebbe mai preso e non ha valutato le possibili conseguenze per tutti
