  1. I Maintain that Dani Alves is the GOAT Fullback whether LB or RB. I love Marcelo but there was no world in which he was winning this.

  2. as a madridista this is a shocking revelation, i thought both were equal… i liked the unbiased way of analyzing…madrid players in general .. always were more into big game mindset rather than consistency … hence not many leagues .. the same translated to the individual players as well… only kroos and modric can be exceptions …especially kroos .. that guy is a robot

  3. Dani Alves is way better overall as a player. He was much more well rounded than a attacking based player like Marcelo
Alves could attack, defend, run faster, was stronger, could shoot from longer distances and take amazing freekicks while Marcelo was better at link up play and dribbling

  4. When talking about UCLs in the context of Real Madrid players you gotta take into account the attitude of the team- the La Liga title is secondary to them. They'd always go all in on the Champions League (financially too lol, those refs in the 2010s were eating well) and forget about everything else. If Barca stumbled in the league then sure, they'd go for the title, but they usually let Barca take domestic dominance while they focused fully on the CL- which is something not many, if any, teams in Europe do. There is a luxury that comes with only aiming for one trophy while all your competitors are fighting for two or even three.

  5. I didn't go into this thinking Marcelo was the better side because I'm always of the believe that Messi always had better players helping him than THE OTHER GUY, so yeah most Barca players was simply better than RMA… RMA players just had moments when they peaked incredibly high and this vid proved 1 of my points🤷

  6. Alves was very consistent. Marcelo was definitely a genius but had many moments of defensive weaknesses. So much so that, Mourinho used to prefer Coentrao over him whenever Madrid played Barcelona. If I were a coach, I would prefer Alves. If I were a player, I would want to be Marcelo.
