Don’t think anyone would argue Martin didn’t deserve sacking. Think we were too quick to pull the trigger with the previous 3 though, and I didn’t even like Beale.
If we put all the money wasted on dross like Ben Davies and Rabbi Matondo on a Rolls Royce of a manager, we’d be in a far better place. Our players would look more valuable and our youngsters like Bailey Rice would be getting quality coaching and carefully managed minutes.
It’s the most important job at the club and it’s time we started treating it as such.

We should have backed Gio. Sacking and rehiring hasn’t proven as effective as some fans seemed to believe it would be.

I was originally in the “cant keep sacking managers” camp but agreed, its a weird hill to die on. If someone is unequipped for the job sack them. I think we were too quick to sack Gio, Clement and dare I say, Beale.
The whole, “nobody will want to come here!” is a bit of a cope as well. Couple of reasons:
1. Managers worth taking a punt on back themselves
2. Rangers are a huge club that regularly competes in Europe
3. Managers know its a fickle job now, almost every manager gets the sack – back yourself or you’re in the wrong game
4. The payout getting sacked is fantastic, and some fool will hire you again (see: martim looking likely to scam Luton)
I dont want some loser manager who would come here but for the demands of our fans. We are Rangers. We are the most succesful club in world football, we demand the best.
