  1. one of the weakest south american teams I have seen. I am behind the roos, but lets be realistic, the teams we come up against in Qatar will be much higher quality

  2. Australia is more prepared, it played before its confrontation with Peru (a match against the Emirates and the same stadium), and this gives it a very strong readiness.. Also, Australia is clear that its preparation itself is at the level of tactics and the distribution of effort during the Australia match and its record if it reaches the weighting….. As for Peru, it is a camp in Barcelona The Spanish name is great as a city, but as a realist, it is supposed to camp in Qatar or eastern Saudi Arabia and play a friendly match. It chose glamor in its camp, not reality… It is also clear that it did not put weighting in its mind (also most of its players were not in their day during the game, and here is the preparation for an articulated match like this)

  3. I can honestly say that Peru were one of the least inspiring South American teams I’ve ever seen…….not impressed. Glad we won but now we step up a couple of levels………

  4. congrats to arnie & the boys – he is right, i think we were all expecting to fail. they stood up when it counted, great aussie spirit and determination. Denmark and Tunisia are definitely doable, lets go lads!!

  5. Good on Graham. What is it going to take for Australia to support the world game. The history of football in Australia has been there from the beginning!

  6. Anyone that follows football would have given Australia little chance. But hey they did it. But that doesn’t hide the fact that the team is bang average. How they can be in the World Cup and a team like Norway misses out I’ll never know….

  7. One thing the Socceroos always do is make other teams earn it. Reputations need to proven on the pitch. Peru failed. The Socceroos played well. It was no fluke. Reputations don’t win games. Mentality is a better gauge. If you think you’ve won before you play, your mentality is rubbish. 👍

  8. i had faith in the team and for you to say no one in australia i think you need to think about what you say before you open your mouth what about the players family
