Solid player will help the team but a LOT of money. Hopefully if it is an obligation it will have a break clause in it ala the Chelsea Sancho deal so we can maybe send him back next year. lol. Wonder if this ends the Acensio signing or if we get both. Should be going for a center back over all these attackers, imo a much bigger need for the team. Overall though still a quality player which should help the team which is what matters most.
We all know hes a good player but we have to sort that defence out,but we are still lacking that pace element and it's a lot of money,hope they are not buying for the sake of it lets try get him on loan
This is a great player that a lot of fans from other clubs appreciate. He is a feisty character, has some swagger as well as being talented and creative.
West Ham fan here.. my opinion on him is each game he’ll either be your best player on the pitch or one of your worst players .. lacks consistency but just maybe at Villa he will be able to change that with some more pace around him and a better midfield to link up with

I've really been out of sorts since our poor play in the SF and the last match that saw us miss CL. I was fuming at Emi, the team, for going MIA, for getting the red card.
The consequences were having a poor transfer window. Like every other Villa fan, I've been quietly gritting my teeth, muttering, "I'm not bothered…it is what it is…" to other excited fans whose teams are picking up players here, there and everywhere…

IMO, I have always thought our inconsistent play is down to a soft center, a lack of mental toughness that has lingered as our achilles heel since the championship days. That winning mentality doesn't arrive overnight from Amazon. It has to be earned, polished, and honed. Bringing in players like Paquetta helps with that. He is the personality type to demand more from his colleagues and will challenge players around him like Rogers, Onana and Watkins to step up. I am hoping he joins us and I do trust Emery and Monchi to do whatever they can to keep us moving forward, even if at times they have to do things like sell Ramsey. UTV 🦁

While I think Paqueta is a good player if a little inconsistent. I would be concerned over the charges that were laid against him. Yes he was cleared but do these things ever go away. But if I put this aside, I ask myself does this really fix the issues in our squad. Not sure.
