So basically Sabitzer has performed well in his first 3 games so far this season. Leading the team in progressive carries, progressive passes and completed passes as well as leading the midfield in interception success rate and defensive clearances.
This “dominant trend” (as the article calls it) means that Sabitzer has somewhat recovered from his bad form last season which reduced his role in the squad to that of a rotation player. And especially considering our current injuries it shouldn’t be surprising if Sabitzer keeps getting chances to show that he can maintain this level of play.
That last part is obviously the big question since 3 games isn’t exactly a valid sample size (as the article admits).
