Ajax’s Vertonghen admits interest in joining Tottenham
The Ajax defender has confirmed that he would welcome a move to the north London club, whom he describes as ‘magnificent’
The 24-year-old Belgian has impressed for Ajax this season and become the subject of increased transfer speculation, but he has highlighted his preferred destination.
“Tottenham are a magnificent club and I hear a lot of good things about English football. If a club of Spurs calibre can reach an agreement with Ajax, then I will gladly go over,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“I have instructed my agent carefully.
“He knows which clubs I want to join, and Spurs are one of them.”
Vertonghen added: “I haven’t signed anything with them yet.

Because this season we had the Modric to Chelsea saga, Redknapp heart surgery, Redknapp court case, Redknapp England manager favourite. Yet you still barely finished above us. If RVP moves in the summer or stays and gets injured at any point next season you wont even finish close to us.

There are strong rumors linking us with a takeover/massive stadium sponsership deal, this would mean we will have substantial funds to make many big money signings this summer. Van Persie has said he is leaving, so it's reasonable to presume Arsenal will want to get some money for him and sell this summer, he carried your team last season so it's difficult to see how you will cope.
in all fairness weve lost key people in numerous seaons and we've always come out on top of course its also possible that losing rvp may not mean this either
