  1. >Top new signing Jobe Bellingham was only allowed to play one half in his Bundesliga debut, with coach Niko Kovac taking him off at half-time. His father Mark and mother Denise were clearly not happy about this.

    >According to Sky Sport, Mark, who also acts as Jobe’s advisor, was particularly upset about his son’s early substitution and Dortmund’s staid and uncreative play at Hamburg’s Millerntor stadium.

    >The Bellinghams waited for their son after the final whistle and were let in by security guards who recognized them. This led to a lengthy and emotional discussion between Mark Bellingham and sporting director Sebastian Kehl. It is not entirely unusual for parents and advisors to drop by the dressing room corridor from time to time. Nevertheless, according to Sky Sport, Bellingham’s surprise visit was not particularly well received within the club.

    >Mark Bellingham was not available for an official statement to Sky Sports.

    > However, BVB responded the following day. Sebastian Kehl: “We are all disappointed with yesterday’s result. Nevertheless, the active area is and remains reserved for us players, coaches, and managers, not families and advisors. This will not happen again. We have clearly informed everyone involved of this.”

  2. I would have been extremely content to keep the Bellingham name away from Dortmund after Jude.

  3. Ugh I was trying to be positive after only 1 game.

Even allowed myself to believe that Jobe was a good signing after CWC.

But nope we are completely fucked, and he’s a huge bust already.

It’s over, we are fighting for Europa at best, it’s who we are now.

    Sigh…..

very, very immature and entitled behavior that paints quite the grim picture of Jobe’s character. You can’t just run around and let your parents throw a fit because you got subbed out at half time after a mediocre performance. If I were in Kovac’s shoes I’d bench Jobe in the next match just to show him and his parents who’s in charge and who’s not and that they aren’t bigger than the club

  5. It’s promising that we’re talking about our only signing this off season. Yes ik we have Drewes, but it’s a third keeper signing.

  6. The parents should really give some time so their son to be familiar with kovac’s tactics, he should not be entitled to playing full 90, its like buying a wonderkid in fm and wondering why the new signing has a 6.4 in the first match

Well at least the club made a bunch of other transfers this window so all our eggs aren’t just in one basket

  8. Seems like more of the parents issue than jobe, with all the drama around this game, this seems to be the most insignificant imo.

  9. I like Jobe, I think he’ll do really well here, but you have to be realistic. He should be back up to Nmecha. He’s not ready to be starting week in week out for us and that’s fine, he’s only 19. The parents only hurt Jobe by doing this crap.

  10. He was our worst player what did they expect.

Mark Bellingham is right that we’re shit though
