      The conclusion.

      Build a team based on the basic foundations, give it structure based on the personnel available, thus their style will emerge but don't stifle opportunities or creativity when unconventional circumstances like synergy or high octane talent are present, else the team won't evolve nor explore.

      It's so interesting. I think the role of the traditional, roaming number 10 is now split among the pivots. You can roam as long as you want with the ball, you can make quick combination plays, and you can even take shots. Everything a traditional number 10 does, Pedri and FDJ both need to execute.

      Absolutely agree with this video…I think many Barca still don't get or understand how important de jong is…though I do like casado and he is more defensively aware than de jong I still think de jong is miles ahead of him and de jong unlocks pedri

      Fdj and Pedri pivot is good offensively and for possession football. But defensively it's not solid. Pedri is good defensively, he is the complete package. Fdj lacks natural defensive instincts. His game is more similar to Pedri than a Pivot. Our midfield will so better if we can go back to having a single pivot. We need to free Pedri of some defensive responsibilities. He has to play the Xavi or Kroos position.

      Comeback of Bernal should add option of pivot defensive midfielder to team. Those 4 games last season showed his great potential and I hope he will show his best us soon.

      A point I wanna raise is that the last player Barca had that might fit the pausa profile well could be, interestingly, Xavi, who did move out of position and dictate rhyme with pauses from time to time. And all this seemed to be more or less ok with Guardiola back then.
