International football standards have dropped dramatically. Thereโs so many average players. England only needed above average players to reach 2 finals. It had nothing do with Southgate.
This is the best ever England side in terms of what this team looks like on paper compared to the competition.
Itโs obviously not as good as the 2004 or 2006 squads but in 2004 you were up against very very strong France, Spain, Germany, Brazil etc. Today the England side was the best on paper in the Euros and we stunk the place out and scraped through very early draws, before being played off the pitch by Spain.
