Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel on Sunday faced the media in Doha, less than 24 hours after they lost 2-1 to France in their second World Cup game.
Kylian Mbappe’s brace put Christian Eriksen’s friends 3rd in Group D with 1 point from the goalless draw against Tunisia in the opener.
Hjulmand’s side must win their 3rd game against Australia on Wednesday (30th November) and wait for title-holders France to avoid a loss to Tunisia, to stand a chance for a place in the knockouts.
The top two teams in each group qualify for the round of 16 knockout phase. In the event of two or more teams sharing identical points, the place will be decided on goal difference.
