  1. i personally cant believe any club in the prem would go anywhere near Sterling now…he was a very fine player for a long time, but sadly, those days are gone

  2. Sterling might have been great years ago but he played in world class teams not some obscure mid level club. But the glory days are long gone and he just doesnt have the legs and hunger anymore.

  3. When all is said and done he will be seen as another Shaun Wright Phillips. Not bad, but hugely overated who played for bigger clubs then his end product warrented!

  4. Sterling would be a Man City legend…. However he snubbed a kid just wanting his shirt signed (City fan probably 8 years old) because he just jumped ship to Chelsea…. I don’t care which team you jump to, You sign a kids 8 years old shirt mate if they are a fan of the game

  5. He's so so overrated, plays like a headless chicken. I've never got this Sterling hype, he's been totally found out the last couple of seasons.

  6. Sterling is best off heading to Italy, he deserves to enjoy his last few years in the game on a high. With his speed and the pace of Italian football he'll tear it up – whereas in England he's struggled for the past 2-3 seasons and will unfortunately most likely continute to do so.

  7. 👏👏👏👏 Well said Gabby. You look at Sterling's figures, the records he has broken and what he has achieved, including almost singlehandedly dragging the national team to their first final in over half a century and it says world class all over it. But yet some people have a problem with that while calling others that have achieved and contributed far less world class. Some people need to have it explained that the colour of his skin should not come into the equation when looking on what he has achieved in deciding if he was world class. He is the highest paid English player for a reason. The highest scoring English winger in Premier League history and, until a few month back when Salah broke his record, was the highest scoring winger in Premier League history, only excluding penalties when Salah is concerned. £325,000 per week, he had to produce remarkable things on the pitch to earn that and keep doing going it consistently at the highest level for a full decade. How many English players have done or could do that? And tes he is a legend. A legend for Man City and a legend for England, givung us the most exciting experience supporting England during a competition many of us who were not around in 1966 have ever had. Great stuff. Peace and love

  8. Sterling has never been world class but he surely was an outstanding player with great promise. It feels like he could have done more.

  9. He was a good English player in one of the best teams in the world, watched him for Arsenal v United in the FA cup and i thought they had just got someone out of the crowd as he did nothing

  10. I don’t have much sympathy for a player who has dropped so much in form and won’t take a wage decrease to be able to play regularly in another team that is more suited to his current abilities.

  11. even with the down years as of late, hes so much better than grealish EVER was. But grealish gets glazed like theres no tomorrow while sterling got shat on by fans, the media, etc. Shameful.
