Good analysis of striker options and tactics. Still mystified by lack of midfield recruitment as this is key to opening up more tactical options and a more watchable experience. Diouf delivery is a godsend to our forwards – good to see a return to a first time ball in before the defence can get organised, our constant recycling between JWP, AWB and Bowen so frustrating, like a tumble dryer.
I still have problems with his anti hammers rhetoric.
Wilson is a terrible signing not just for what it represents (bungs) but he’s legs are gone , has no pace , he’s attitude towards westham has always been we are a small club! He thinks he’s better than us and we don’t need at view in the dressing room.
Nobody knows if the Wilson signing involved dodgy deals.
I liked ur analysis…..but I cannot get the fact that what if fulkrug gets injured. Wilson cannot last for more than 45 mins. We are taking a big risk.
Good video. I think the other point is that Marshall will have the experience of Fullkrug and Wilson to help his development. I think the saving of money with Antonio and Ings going will as you guys hope will pay for a midfielder and also a goalkeeper.

Fulkrug looks fitter. The team looks happier. Glad to see Bowen talk about fostering a brotherhood mentality in the changing room and keeping it welcoming and positive, but they need to step up every game this season. It will be tough.
Get a solid midfielder and decent Areola replacement and this window isn't a complete fail.
Bring the young lads up. I like Potts attitude Vs Bournemouth the other day. He won't take bs from players or ref. We need that.

Jack, why have the club stated that you think Wilson is the next best thing,he may have been but he doesn't have the pace he had. I hope he doesn't have what Marshall offers. Marshall is a back option to Bowen,Wilson for Fulkrug surely ?

Good stuff guys but I can’t help feeling your points on Wilson are out dated. He WAS everything you said but that was a few years ago, it’s not just can he keep fit, it’s that even if he is fit he’s just not that player anymore.
I would love to be proven wrong but from what I’ve seen the last couple of years, even when fit he’s a shadow of what he was.
Has anyone actually seen Wilson play in the past year? Feels weird that someone with such a great record just 2 yrs ago is completely crap now? Considering Isak was the main striker for Newcastle I kind of wouldnt have expected him to get many games, injured or not. I think he will be used when chasing a game and your throwing balls in to the box etc, then the pace thing isnt a thing. I cant imagine you would bring on Soucek before Wilson when chasing a goal.
Gentlemen, sterling work as always. I am cautiously optimistic and nervous in equal measure. I agree we need some legs in midfield but the player needs to have a good fitness history. Callum Wilson is a wait and see. When fit (and that is always the issue) Wilson is a quality centre forward. I am a big fan of Fullkrug and if he can stay fit he will make people eat their words for writing him off too soon. Pleased Aguerd seems to be staying. Team needs to shake off the persistent slow start to games which has been around since Moyes era. Todibo has the makings of a very good centre half but needs to switch on because his lack of focus and lazy approach at times puts the team in vulnerable positions. Anyway, I look forward to the next entertaining instalment. Cheers lads
