If Livramento signs a contract extension then we have to move on
Whether Ederson decided to leave or not, it was time for City to address that position. In addressing that position, Ortega needs to leave too if he can't stay as the 2nd GK, cos he's not good enough as a number. I respect what he did vs Spurs 2 years ago, but we need to be brutal with out decision

Trafford has had 1 season in the PL and was an abject failure. He had a great season in the championship which means what exactly?
Are we actually saying we want a 22yr old GK who has no experience in the UCL and 1 terrible season in the PL to help us challenge for the PL title and all other competitions this season bc he had a great season in the championship? Seriously? It’s absolutely absurd as such a conclusion is based on vibes & nostalgia while ignoring factual evidence, which at a minimum, demands serious caution.
Some idiot City fans are actually trying to argue that Trafford will be fine bc he had 29 clean sheets in the championship last season and it will translate to the PL. Burnley had one of the best defenses in the Championship last season and his 84.5% shot stopping is based on strikes from championship caliber players NOT PL and UCL ones.
We do this and we will be in for the fight of our lives for top 4, especially with the shaky defense we have, mostly in part to Pep’s refusal to adapt it make more defensively sound. You throw in an inexperienced 22yr old GK as your #1 and there’s a good chance we could finish outside of any European football, let alone the UCL. Not to mention, we’ve seen what the fanbase did to Eddie recently. What do you think they’ll do if Trafford is performing 75% better than his last PL season which would be a high bar for him and terrible for City? They’ll crucify him. The whole thing is a mistake. #2 I’m all for it, let him learn, let him gain experience etc that’s perfect. But as the #1, buckle your chinstraps bc this season will be similar to last season…

If he's even 5/10 at 1-1's, then it will force opponents to change strategy. I really love ederson, but he is so, so bad at 1-1's. Every opponent plans meticulously to force 1-1's because he is so bad at them.
