  1. A sad and to his amazing career?🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️……huh!!!…..are you saying that the last two years of his career should be at Real Madrid or Man United 🤷🏿‍♂️……or you would be impressed if he was playing for Arsenal……come on, the man has paid his dues for football, how long will you continue to make such unnecessary comparison to Messi..?

  2. At €177million per year ; can we argue ?? A 38yr old well past his prime earning this salary is a huge deal. Some might say its a testament to his career.

  3. Ronaldo has a chance to prove to the world that he’s not giving up, despite only one offer from a club. If he doesn’t improve his behavior from Man United, that would make clubs not want him although they should get him since he’s a natural striker who can score goals but with limited playing time and due to his tough year with 2022, I still believe in him. It’s amazing how a 37 year old world class player still wants to play as many players retire in mid 30s

  4. A sad end?!
200 million per year at age 38… 🤑

He's already received all important and possible trophies.
He's a Portuguese citizen so he'd never win the World Cup. That trophy is a matter of nationality/team, a matter of luck… We don't take it into account.

  5. Sad? You out of your freaking mind? Rather than having to deal with idiot journalists in Europe he'd rather get paid 200m per year and retire without injuries … Best deal ever .. he is the number 1 player all time .. forget about Messi and Co

  6. Thats how a crybaby deserves to end his career. Playing in a league no one will even watch, even if it were free! I'd watch Toronto FC before watching Saudi football. He is one of the best players in the world but acts like a 10 yr old boy, when stuff don't go right! 😆🤟

  7. If you were offered 200 million to not be a Ronald fan would you take it or say Nah I'm loyal to my boy Ronaldo? Exactly, yes he loves the sport and all but in the end, he gotta do what's best for himself and his family.

  8. Remember Cristiano is like 2-3 years older to Messi. (For those who compare the GOATS).

2-3 years ago, Ronaldo was in peak form, Won multiple titles with Juventus and delivered in crucial matches, helped win Euros for Portugal (had there been a WC around 3 years ago the Euro Portugal team would have been easily a deadly front runner.).

Its not like Im trying to say “lets see where Messi is in 2 years” in terms of career. But the truth is Cristiano on top of all this has been through so much this year after his child passed. Talk about a heartbroken man, it affects the mind like nothing else… seeing the way he has performed after all that… well I say thats some REAL 🐐 stuff.

  9. And with that move, Messi has comprehensively won the GOAT debate. Ronaldo was not wanted by ANYONE while messi won the Golden ball, probably will win the Balon D'or and won the WC. Now that Ronaldo can't stat pad any more, Messi will overtake his CL scoring records and that'll be that.

  10. You know I reeally did USED to like ronaldo, Yes he is good at kicking a ball into a goal mouth but THATS IT..Compared to HUMBLE MESSI THERE no COMPARISON….Its all about the money to him, not that i blame him. Why didnt he choose to go to a European club and say ask for reasonable salary and then donate it all to charities, now that would be a great way to retire and he could of still gone to saudi after🤔🤔

  11. It's not sad. He's living his life on his terms, why would that be sad? What a pathetic take from this sports journalist talk about ticks and leeches. If there weren't people to say negative things about this guy would not have a career

  12. This is a ridiculous. What's so sad about a 37-year old (almost 38) getting $75M a year to play on a team where he'll actually start? He's basically 2.5 years older than Messi, so comparisons with what Messi is doing now aren't apples to apples. One might also make comparisons with Rooney, and Ronaldo would look tops. Point is everyone's body is different. Many were underwhelmed by Ronaldo's recent play with United and Portugal. The man now takes a realistic–and even humble–approach to his career, by deciding to play at a lower league for more money, and a journalist comes up with what has to be the most ridiculous take on that decision. That take, Mr. Ogden, is the only sad thing here.

  13. I just love cr7. He is not just only the goat, but a footballpreneur.. He is the smartest soccer player alive.

Signing a $200m+ contract per year with AL Nasir @38 years old is the icing in the cake for his successful career.

What a way to ridicule the jealous media!

They are talking about cr7 ending h is career in Europe where no top club wants him.

Please the media should keep criticizing cr7, cos that makes him better.

  14. Why is it sad, lol? He’s done everything you can do in Europe. He’s at the end and he gets to go somewhere where he can still play everyday and get a gazillion dollars. I’m sure he would have rather played for another big European team but if the offers aren’t there you move on. Why all the open hate on the Saudi league, as well? We were force fed AFCON this past year and told how great it is, but not the Middle East or Asia, apparently. They haven’t been blessed by the you know whos…

  15. I am super happy for him, a great ending to one of the greatest football players in the history of the sport. He deserves to enjoy himself and become an ambassador of the sport in that area of the world.
