Next year Konate could have Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and probably other clubs fighting over him and offering him massive wages. Given that he's only on 70k and he will be coming into the last years of his career, I can understand why he would want to wait a year and go on a free. He's a great player and has done well for us, good luck to him.

Konate isn’t my type of defender I never liked his “hopping” defending. So not worried either but he needs to fall down the pecking order.

Konate miles better than Guehi. The lad just won us the premier league ffs. It’s very easy to just get rid of lads while forgetting what they just achieved. It isn’t easy to win the prem. Madrid want him for a reason, it’s not an easy solution. It’s not fifa on the PlayStation ffs.
Bring in his replacement and accept offers right now from everyone except Real Madrid. That way, his choice is to spend this year on the bench or be sold to another club. We should be doing this with players that don't sign with 2 years to go. It would be a lot more effective.
Sell him first! he needs to go before bring in his replacement. If he rejects only then buy a new centre back, we dont want a unhappy and sulking player near the first team and ruin the team spirit

Konate is very replaceable, id happily stick gomez in his spot whos proven his loyalty, though theres no question we would need a replacement as gomez get injured alot, but konate makes to many mistakes and when hes not next to virgil he'll get exposed

Not that simple. He's not critical – but is vital. Especially as Virg nears retirement. Getting in Guehi + a replacement isn't as simple as some folk make out.

I love Konate but too many times I’ve seen him without virg and I’m not entirely convinced that he’s the guy who can step into virg’s shoes when he’s gone. If he wants to move on either sell him now and replace or replace and let him run his contract down
