  1. I think come next year Howe could walk. If he isn't backed to the sense of closing the gap to the top 4 and we stand still i think he will be away. He did also state this in an interview

  2. Absolutely agree with John everything he said. His quality was never in doubt and Livramento could not dislodge him on the right side as everyone casually assumed it would be so before the start of 24 season. He was consistently better than Livra on the right side.

Im glad how it turn out that it never stopped Livramento's development and he looks immense. He didnt show the same passing range that takes advantage of our physical tall players. That could change as his improvement have been amazing.

Anyways, the point is Trips have always been quality. There's is only value in keeping all of our fullbacks going into heavy schedule with UCL.

As much as Livra has pace stamina and endurance, dont forget he recovered from ACL injury. Players cant play every game with high intensity. We need to protect them too.

Between them both they provide their unique qualities and we can keep a high level on that side.

I will defend Eddie for his unwillingness to sell Trips for 12m to Bayern. He was the one who started it all. Trips went on to provide that crucial assist for Burn and got us the trophy.

The same approach we should be keeping Trips next season. He's a difference maker with his experience and passing range.

He may not run full 90 mins but Eddie have shown he's adapting the team's intensity.

I dont see him 2nd choice but hand in hand with Livramento. Keep in mind, Livra still have not dislodge Trips on his position when both fit Trips was still first choice, and when Trips came from bench he made a better difference when Livra could not.

The only reason stopping Trips right now from going full on is his age, form or fitness. Trips can cover Livra but he can also change and bring what Livra could not. Likewise Livra to Trips. Both are hand in hand.

And because of his limited fitness, I dont see Livramento will complain too much. Its actually good healthy rotation and challenge to see who gets a start.

And you know what, if Livra can pick some of Trip's passing range next season, omg we will have the world best fullback in the making.

  3. Nobody knows what’s going on behind the scenes nobody wants to come to Newcastle that’s not going to change and will always hindered us
