      Although he would have been a great signing (for any team) United really need a proper striker. Even if it’s just until the summer, but Liverpool have a top player.

      Man United have to be one of the worst run clubs in terms of transfers with people like Gary Neville promoting the “ damage limitation” exercise. Mr Qatar is all over the place.

      To be fair Liverpool are missing firminho,jota and Luis Dias so they badly needed gakpo what annoys me is the fee 38 mill how so cheap guaranteed United went to sign ✍️ him and it was 100 million so frustrating.

      One the one hand it's not that big a loss for United, as United need an out and out striker rather than a false 9/left attacker that gakpo is.

      On the other hand it's worrying that United couldn't get a player that the manager had specifically identified. Surely if your manager sees a player as fitting into his system, then it's not a good idea to end up getting gazumped by Liverpool (again) and end up with nobody.
