Sickening stuff… Strangest feeling repeatedly being bullied by Madrid with our 'most serious' era incoming. Get these f**ks out if they think we're a stepping stone. Can't help but feel Trent has contributed to setting this example by opening up the floodgates, giving other players in the squad the impression that it's okay to leave, no matter the connection to the club.

I love Klopp, but it was good he had the wisdom to see that he was burned out and should go. All the contracts run down and the failures to reward good play with improved deals which Edwards took care of during his first tenure, are really coming back to bight us in the arse.
I think you are right about the sequence of events in terms of sales and buying. I do hope they go bananas and take a serious tilt at Isak. The things wet dreams are made of. But you are also right about these players being overpriced, none of them have much more in their CVs than Nunez did, and I don't want another project at striker, thanks. Isak, Osimen though he seems to have an inflated idea of his wages maybe? Or is that Neapolitan propaganda?

The club should sell all players who refuse to sign an extension when they have two years on their cintract – unless they want them to go.. Konate is not as good as he thinks he is. passes backwards too much and loses concentration too often

We can't be having another Traitor Trent saga for all next season with Konate. If I was Liverpool am giving Konate a deadline lasting early to mid July to make his decision to sign our agreement or we're selling you. If he's waiting for Real Madrid next summer window then I want us to put Konate in youth set-up by buying centre back or two and I have a sense Liverpool aren't going to be nice this time around like Trent situation towards Konate and his camp & Real Madrid.

I see Mosquera, Bade etc as options if we end up selling Quansah or even possibly Gomez. Konate has developed over years at the club and he’s now reaching his peak, so I’d imagine we would try and sign a belter, a starting centre back who is more of a sure thing than those two.
Clubs will have to figure out how to deal with (almost feel like saying "punish") players who threaten to run down their contracts. In Konate's case, if true, simple solution (if we can bring in a solid replacement), is to drop him to the u21's and make him a bench player for the most part. Threaten to run down their values in the eyes of potential suiters and the national selectors.
Just selling him to avoid it all happening is an opportunity missed to make an example of him for others, because this is threatening to become a trend.
So here’s a question! Still buzzing over Wirtz signing becoming official, but how long does he realistically stay? Signed for 5, players never get sold with one year left and he’ll want to head to the Bundesliga again one day – so we have him for 3 years?
Tell Konate we need an answer within two weeks. If nothing talk to Mosquera and others immediately after. It’ll either panic him to sign or Madrid will panic and go for Mosquera. When that happens, buy anyone who wants to play for the club the fuck Konate off, cos he clearly doesn’t.
