I can understand/accept any players decision to join a different club for whatever reason they might have and I do so in case of Williams and Barcelona. What I don’t like is, given the reports are true, that we now wait if the deal with Barca falls through or not to then go again after the player. I know that this is part of the business and happens to other clubs too, but I simply don’t like to have the feeling that player XY joins us only because his preferred option didn’t work out for him. I know that Williams did not sleep in Bayern pajamas, but I would have liked to at least have the feeling that he chose only us out of all the options available, especially given the money we would have to spend for him.
