After the November International camp, many USMNT fans were up in arms about Antonee Robinson’s performance against Wales. However, it’s important that we remain patient with the young left-back. OneGoal explains.

Great point about him not having time to learn the role with GGG in the November camp. I still think he’s our best option at LB right now. Love the video!
People need to chill. He's a EPL LB for a reason
He's certainly a class player, just need to be patient with the lad. His display against Liverpool a couple weeks a go was great.
Great vid mate. Recommend copping a Shure SM7b so that the audio quality matches the journalism quality going forward
Context? He's already 23!!! He's not old or even in his prime yet, but it's still kinda advanced age for a young player by European standards, it'll be hard for him to prove anything because of where he is playing at his age vs the teenagers and 20-21-year-olds all around the league. It's really hard but I'll exercise patience only to give him his ONE season of adjustment because if he's serious then one year is all he needs, and he did show he can raise his game vs Liverpool. Now is that a one-time thing or did he really turn the corner…we have to wait and see. This is important. Being one of the better performers for FULHAM is not impressive at all on its own. It's Fulham, a club like that is supposed to be a springboard to something better unless the player sucks (because the club is meant to LOSE). Good players play on good teams, middling players on middling teams, etc. I hope he continues to improve and earn a move to a real team, or at least a stronger team than a relegation squad. Confusing battling for relegation and promotion all the time as valid high-stakes experience is…well I can't find the exact words for it, but it's highly disagreeable. He doesn't prove anything on teams like those. He may prove to be no better than players we used to have, and that's fine but I refuse to hype him (like you are trying to do) or our former players more than he or they deserve in terms of global scale. We never had real players, until our golden generation, and Robinson is in a unique situation where we are waiting to see which group of players he becomes associated with going forward, either the golden generation, one of the in-between guys like Brooks, or just another average-at-best guy like those from USMNT teams past. Part of what will influence this is if he earns a good or decent move, or not.
I think people need to give him a bit of time. I’m a Bolton fan and he was probably the best player in our squad. He’s got a load of talent and potential but players need to learn a role and be coached it before he can play the role effectively. For Bolton and Wigan his job will have been to keep the ball out of the net.. considering both teams conceded a fair bit. Playing nice, intricate football will be new to him. More than good enough to play that way and it’s not beyond his ability but it’ll be something new for him. People need to remember that if you play in the Premier League then you’ve got at least something good about you.. it’s the best league in the world for a reason.
Awesome content bro!!
I wish the USMNT program was owned / run by Mark Cuban: he's figured out a good way to pick / develop talent and take care of his players. Robinson has real raw talent: it's so apparent when you see him in the EPL; I'm sure its pretty special to see him on the pitch. But the USMNT can't mismanage Antonee's USMNT career or they will risk scaring away up-and-coming talent that could play for us (i.e., Musah). go job on the content OneGoalUS 🙂

I think of it this way, the US has never really had a young fullback we could really trust to immediately step into a full national team role – except for Steve Cherundolo. Historically we've had to rely on veterans, hope that young guns with potential will rise to the occasion (rarely if never successful) or play guys out of position to fill in those gaps. Give Robinson time and he might prove to be one of the best fullbacks in the programs history…. I mean the bar isn't very high lol
i'd rather have him than any mls player
Wish he declared for England why did u steal him guys come on first you steal our tea then our left backs
