We have players like Angel Gomes and Adam Wharton who can play that number 6/8 regista role and are press resistant and can progress the ball up the pitch whilst retaining possession. Jordan Henderson doesn't do this effectively and is on the decline and is in his mid 30s, its time to call an end to his international career.
If Henderson is vital for any coach, sack that coach
Absolute rubbish – Henderson shouldn't be near the squad. Nor should Walker. You need round pegs in round holes using the best players available at the time, its as simple as that.

I remenber telling people that this dude is not even better than Dimateo and people laughed. Zsolt Lőw his long time assistant is actually the real mastermind behind everything. All he does is copie tactics from Lepzig and hope the player figure it out themselves. Henderson, the fraudster who was not event fit to play in the Saudi league should have never be called In other countries, they rather take lots of 19-21 yo players from the U-21 levels and bring them to the A-team.

Do you not think Ronaldo and Messi will be playing in the World Cup as well who are 40 odd? It makes no odds. Every team will have a couple. What’s the obsession with younger players. You need a few older heads in a squad to win it. It’s a good fomular. I’d through stones McGuire and Shaw into the mix aswell if they are fit and on form. The point on Henderson isn't to PLAY its too be apart it the squad as the players need figures who are vocal outside of him to look up to because with out it you'll get alot these young superstars picking and choosing when they want to turn it on

Angel Gomez is top drawer.
Wharton behind bellingham and palmer. Wharton can get the ball off the centre backs, turn abd play through the lines. We are massively missing a player like this in order control a game/start attacks.

Lee Carsley brought so much excitement in the few games he was in charge. The youth and fast paced football he played was brilliant. Tuchel has made Southgate look good.

He’s basically said that he couldn’t select Wharton and that he’ll be in his thoughts for September.
Tuchel has lost any credibility he had left. He was rightly sacked at Chelsea. He’s good at working with what he has, but can’t build a squad. This is the clown that signed off on Lukaku and bought Auba, Sterling, Koulibaly and Fofana when he had the reigns at Chelsea. He’s cooked, the WC is a write off, not even going to get past the knockout rounds. They better hope they get an easy group.
The average age of World Cup winning teams is 26-27 , which means they had one or two players in the squad’s who where mid to late 30s and quite a few in their early 20s . It’s about a good mix of ages . Youth and experience. I Trust Tuchels selection process. We need to stop questioning it at this early stage. The man is an elite manager. I believe in him. The team we fielded against Senegal wasn’t our starting 11 by any stretch it was just a chance for him to look at different players. The scoreline is irrelevant . It’s a friendly! Like they said hes probably learnt more from the loss than if we won 🤷♂️
