There goes my hopes of VK actually resting his big players when possible, this season. The B squad should be able to easily win vs Auckland, no need to risk our best players in this type of game, they’re literally facing teachers, plumbers, hairdressers and so on, imagine Kane or Olise getting injured in a 7-0 win.

As many have pointed out, Kompanyโs main flaw is not rotating or starting youngsters. Auckland City is a semi-professional team and you still put players who have been on the pitch non-stop for the club and country. This was one of the reasons for our injury crisis and I think it will play a big factor in the next season as well.
