Hey everyone — just a quick update as more details get finalized for Dortmund fans at the Club World Cup.
Fanclub coordination is happening through a Google Form (And Doc that will be out later):
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdQJNN7JgiHx6vQtfxSqiR3J6SLjqeD400zB3P8c8J8XTKtLA/viewform
- It’s run by officially registered Borussia Dortmund fanclubs across North America (not directly by the club itself).
- Once you fill it out, you’ll be sent info about any official fanclubs near you.
- If there’s no club nearby, you can give permission to have your info shared with others locally to help build smaller groups or potential new clubs.
The form will ask for:
- Name
- Contact number
- State you live in
- Closest metro area
- Whether you consent to being connected to others locally
Other fan events and Songbook / chant list:
A Google Doc with details on fan upcoming fan events which possibly include a fan festival on Friday before match day and a march before the game. A chant songbook with links and lyrics is also being worked on and should be shared shortly.
Drummers & Capos:
Right now for the match in Cincinnati (June 21), we still have only one person for drumming (myself), and nobody to be a capo or lead chants. If you have any experience or interest drumming or acting as a capo and would like to be involved, feel free to message me directly or drop a comment.
