  1. The club he is at can afford to pay him silly cash so why would they sell him there rich as anything because of there transfer policy. Only players from a region

  2. i know its a short but saying just 58m is not the full story, its 58m UPFRONT a fee that no-one is paying alongside his ludicrous wage demands

  3. Beyond the love for the club, that is arguably one of the reasons why Athletic is able to retain a lot of its talent: Very high wages. They are a well-performing team domestically and their transfer budget is very small (mainly due to the fact that they can't sign non-Basque players). So the "millions" that they don't spend in transfer fees are more often than not pumped into the youth setup and increased senior player wages.

I must say that I don't know the numbers for sure, but I would say that within Spain they are #3 or #4 when it comes to highest average wages.

  4. I don't like that in football there are big clubs that eventually a player goes to no matter what. I wish more players stayed with their clubs and were loyal, like Marco Reus

  5. I think football clubs are now, especially in the premier league. Realising they can't pay these staggering wages anymore. Because of the whole PSR rules. Teams are having to pay "only" 😂😂 100-200k a week. Not many are on the 250k+ anymore.

  6. Have you seen his stats in La Liga? bro barely scores , why chase someone but doesn't deliver Goal contributions in league games, he's a Country Merchant.

  7. He rejected Barca to stay at Bilbao. As things stand he will move to another club soon. I just want to know what he had achieved with Bilbao by rejecting a potential move to Barca.

  8. His either going to be an explosive winger like leao or Spanish version of miroslav klose…… His not even the top 3 best players in his own team, let that sink in..

  9. idk why so much hype for him he is a shit winger in club level in international is very good but at club level he doesnt performe that good

  10. The thing manstotouno or whatever his name is Hes more like a RM o cam I mean he can play RW but I think he should play more for the cam position plus there is already 2 good cams in Real Madrid that are Brahim and guler I don’t know if his gonna play that many matches but ye let’s see plus if nico joins then Real Madrid they should release rodrygo

  11. Nico Williams is a phenomenal player, but I think inaki deserves credit where it’s due, literally broke the record for most consecutive la Liga appearances at 251, consistent underrated baller

  12. Nobody will give him the wages he gets at Bilbao. Not in Europe at least. Liverpool have done a lot just to put guys like Salah and Van Dijk on 400k and 350k a week and Nico is already getting that at Athletic.

  13. I think it's better for him to remain in his boyhood club because Chelsea buys too many players, at Real he will not be a starter (look at Güler and Endrick) and at Barçelona he will not have space if Raphinha will continue with those performances

  14. Athletic club have these high wages since they only sign players from the Basque region of Spain and do this to retain them and also because they do not spend on transfers that much or regularly
