      I’m a big fan but if this is true it does says a lot about his ambitions.

      Respect to Galatasaray but he’s only 29 and could play a few more years in a top 10 european club.

      I will say this: While his tenure with us was a disappointment overall, it wasn’t a total failure either. It’s a shame he was so inconsistent, but he did have a lot of good games and I definitely commend him for playing through injuries in the second half of last year. His attitude and workrate has improved a lot and overall, he seems like a good guy.

      All that said, it says a lot about his ambitions that he is choosing the Süper Lig because of a few millions. I would’ve been fine with him staying, but now is not a bad time to close this chapter either. Him making a decision already is a blessing, we can finally focus on reinforcements and stop twerking for him. I am looking forward to the Barcola or Nico era.

      I can‘t say I‘m sad about this. Sané is an incredibly gifted player but never demonstrated the real grit of a winger wanting to score and win no matter what like many of his predecessors did.

      Joins a top team in a decent league, will play champions league and will get paid good money. I would say it’s a good move for him at this stage of his career when he enters his last big contract and is on the decline. Galatasaray with Sane and Osimhen if it happens should finish top 24 in UCL. If he puts monster numbers in Turkey and performs in the UCL I’m sure he can make the national team squad, it’s not like there’s many other choices to begin with.

      Just to leave some positivity, I enjoyed Sane’s 5 years with us.

      He had some frustrating moments and he probably didn’t reach his full potential here, but he had some moments of brilliance.

      I think he matured a lot in the last 2 years, especially after Tuchel joined. Seemed to develop a better mindset, better work rate, better pressing / tracking back. He changed my perception of him that he didn’t care enough.

      5 campaigns. 61 goals. 16 CL goals. 4 Meisterschale.

      pure madness… i did not expect this despite all the stuff that went down within the last few weeks and months. would have preferred if bayern didn’t renew their offer and stood strong because from my point of view this again (!) showed weakness on bayern side. but hey, sanes departure frees a lot of space for a young new player who will hopefully stay with us a long time and is way more reliable and consistent in his performances. im very excited who this player will be and tbh i dont have a favorite out of williams, barcola and so on. just bring someone in who identifies with the club and its values and is ready to leave everything on the pitch every fucking time.
