  1. For the estimated fee I‘m a bit sceptical. From what I‘ve read Jashari would‘ve fitted like a glove or is better than Jobe who would’ve cost about the same. There were reports we‘re going for both though which would be nice I guess but seems overkill especially in terms of money. Only makes sense when we move on from a couple midfielders.

  2. >The 19-year-old England U21 international joins on a five-year deal and will wear number 77 at the FIFA Club World Cup.

    ??

  3. Might be a slight overpay but overall think he is a great option and a player type that will help us.
Want him to succeed and at least in Dortmund exceed his brother.

  4. Ngl that announcement is sick. Hope we will have lots of success together.

However, I really, really hope the rumoured 40+ million are not true. That’s a ridiculous amount of money for a championship player and would make him our most expensive player ever. I am not sure anyone would pay that much without his name. Let’s hope I am wrong…

  5. Good luck to him. I hope we all as a club and fanbase respect that he is his own man and not make basic comparisons to his brother. Will be interesting to see who he gets on well with

Man it’s hard not to compare him to Jude when they’re extremely similar physicaly (and have the same haircut, play the same position and even their voices are sounds similar to me.

  7. Im so glad this bs is done, idk what was more annoying, Bellingham reports every few hours or reports how Dortmund missed out on Cherki every day

“BVB is reportedly paying €33 million to Sunderland for Jober, according to “Sky Sports,” plus a 15% resale clause. Bonuses could add up to €5 million, with about half being easily achievable and the rest more challenging. If all conditions are met, the deal could cost Dortmund around €38 million in total.”

Jesus that is too much in my opinion.

  9. I feel very good about this. I have watched videos and read reports about him. Calm, physical, hard working, good stamina, precise tackle, has an eye for the goal and good at escaping tight spaces. He already has 2 full seasons in the Championship, a very physicial and difficult league that could be compared to many first leagues in Europe. Besides that, my instinct tells me he will be good, the only other 2 players I had the same feeling when I saw they come to out club were Alcacer and Beier.

Welcome Jobe! I think all of us have had mixes of apprehension, delight, and anticipation surrounding this young man coming here. But seeing him in our colours has ended that for me, I feel great things and hope he does too. All the best and lets see how this goes

  11. for me, the fee puts a huge asterisk on this transfer.

but let’s hope he proves my worries wrong and lights it up for us
