Marcus Rashford scored one goal and set up another as Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 to move a point behind fourth-placed Tottenham in the Premier League.
United’s preparations were disrupted by a virus which left Raphael Varane, who had only just returned from World Cup duty with France, as their only fit centre-back, with Erik ten Hag having to use left-back Luke Shaw alongside him.
Jody Morris discussed the game and how important players like Marcus Rashford and Casemiro are to Erik ten Hag’s side.

He's not a striker, his best attribute is his speed and he scares defenders when he runs at defenses.
This is why Gapko joining Liverpool was a wise decision, he would have been competing with Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho for the left hand position. That's probably why Manchester United never made an official approach for him.
I'll wait till he scores two hattricks before I hype him up.
As a united fan I'd like to see us get Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He's by no means a superstar but I think he'd be a decent traditional number 9 target man who wouldn't be crazy money. I also think with Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho or Martial on the wings they could provide someone like him with a.lot of chances to put away. I'd rather Harry Kane but Calvert-Lewin seems like a more realistic target
Shaw looked good in there to be fair United have come a long way since ten hag has come in he is doing a amazing job

With Ronaldo gone we can now have a more collective approach with the team and let the team settle and get used to each other and build up chemistry.
Rashford's best position is clearly as a Wide Forward playing on the left , can he play as a ST? Maybe in a different system but not to his full abilities. Also let's not get carried away, Rashford in this form is good but he's not world class he still need to go up a couple of levels for that.

Although rashford has been resurgent and we wish him to stay fit and well, United is in dire need of a 20+ goals a season striker. The list of bulleyes marksmen with excellent fitness record we had in the past (andy cole, dwight york, van nilsteroy, wayne rooney, van persie, carlos tevez, even zlatan) is a testament of what united truly misses upfront, a dependable striker with at least 25 to 30 league appearance. We never had a striker like that since SAF left.
