Bukayo Saka has come second in the voting for our men’s Player of the Season for 2024/25.

The winner in 2020/21 and 2021/22 takes the silver medal this time around, having enjoyed a stellar campaign that saw him net 12 times in all competitions and create another 13 for his teammates, across 37 appearances.

Those numbers mean Bukayo is one of only three Premier League players to reach double figures for both goals and assists across all competitions in each of the last three seasons, alongside Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes.

He started the campaign on fire, becoming the second player in the competition’s history to provide an assist in each of a team’s first five games, after Thierry Henry in 2004/05.

His 11 Premier League assists came in his first 12 appearances up until the end of November before a hamstring injury interrupted his form, but despite missing three months of the campaign, only Salah, Jacob Murphy and Anthony Elanga contributed more across the division.

In December, Saka both scored and assisted in three consecutive appearances against Nottingham Forest, Sporting Lisbon and West Ham United, becoming the first player to do so for us since Cesc Fabregas in September 2007. Later that month, he played his 250th game for the club against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

He returned from injury in memorable fashion by netting what proved to be the winner against Fulham in April, and followed that up with a famous goal in the Bernabeu to help beat Real Madrid, and score against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final.

His 12 goals put him only behind Kai Havertz in our standings, but no-one could come close to his 25 goal involvements.

Despite missing 13 Premier League games, only Salah and Cole Palmer created more big chances than the 21 provided by Bukayo, while no Gunner completed more dribbles (41) or regained possession in the final third more often than him during his top-flight appearances.

  1. Very Very well deserved. Liked the fact that they didn’t take into consideration the huge amount of games he missed and still gave him the award

  2. He is the best he really is arsenal Starboy, i dream of playing for arsenal one day, but I don't really know if I can do it,i am in Kenya and I am 13 years old and I hope I can play there one day love you Saka

  3. Bukayo Saka will win the EPL & Champions League very soon

Bukayo will win the Balon D'or very soon.

Bukayo Saka will be remembered as an Arsenal Legend, just like Thierry Henry

  4. Tough season. Really proud of our boys for sticking it out. People are going to focus on the negatives. But with red cards, injuries and a smaller squad we still managed to go second and Champion's League Semi's. This season speaks more to our mindset than the past too. Props to the fanbase for sticking with the squad.

  5. This season we’ve been cursed with injuries, to be fair to Saka, he’s been good this season, just so unfortunate to be injured in most of it. Hopefully next season we ain’t cursed with all of that. Well done mate, deserved.

  6. #1 better be Gabriel. I understand rice had a spectacular season but it realistically started 3 months in. Gabriel has solidified his name as one of the best in the world. His leadership is next level, always lifting team spirits, and ensuring the backline is organized. Best shot blocker in the world in my opinion. Incredible physicality. Unmarkable on set pieces. He’s the reason we have the best defense in the prem.

  7. I love Saka so much but I don't think he should be second place, simply for the amount of time he missed this season. That means that either Timber or Gabriel isn't on the list.

  8. Sadly injured but still not world class in my opinion and rival fans and pundits. It should be clear but sorry Bukayo you need to improve your pressure games and non pressure games out put. Last 10 games of the past 3 seasons saka does poorly with goals and assists. Those are the periods you win Trophies or loose them.
