As you know, CWC will be a huge opportunity for clubs to earn a lot of money : https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/club-world-cup/usa-2025/articles/record-prize-money-solidarity

That being said, I was wondering what would be the best way to approach the competition ; should it be only focused on the money we could possibly earn from it, meaning playing with the most competitive team, regardless of the upcoming season and the 50 matches the squad played past season (no counting games with national teams) ? Or should it be more like a preseason tournament in order to give playing time for as much players as possible ?

What are your expectations ? Are you looking forward to watching CWC ?

A mix of both hopefully. Take the tournament seriously, but play some youngsters like Duranville, Cambell, Watjen. And play new signings

maybe it is an unpopular opinion and i know this is a cash grab tournament by fifa but i’m actually somewhat looking forward to see us play some teams from different continents in a non-friendly tournament

Should be treated like any other tournament that isn’t UCL, rotate players as needed so we don’t run anyone into the ground. Give backups more starts if they aren’t gonna play much during the season but are close to starting level. Try to win so we can claim world champions for 4 years!

  5. All my life I dreamed about seeing my beloved BVB play against Mamelodi Sundowns. Thank you noble Infantino for making my dreams come true!

Seriously: Every true football fan should boycott this bs cash grab tournament.

Is it dumb? Yeah probably but if they’re going to have it I would rather the team get exposure and extra money as opposed to sitting at home.

Plus I live in Ohio and can actually see a game which is amazing (for me)
