As it's Pride Month and the slew of awful comments comes through as it does every year on Bayern's social media, I wanted to use this post to remember an important and influential member of the club, Angelo Knorr.

It's astounding to me how many 'fans' of the club get so hateful when Bayern posts their support during pride month, as Knorr and anti-discrimination has always been part of Bayern's DNA.

Bayern is bigger than hate. Mia San Mia means we are who we are, period.

Let's not forget the people who built this institution we love so much.

  1. Thanks for sharing this. It’s heartbreaking to see so much hostility resurface every Pride Month, especially considering how deeply rooted values like tolerance and community are in our club’s history. People like Angelo Knorr deserve to be remembered, and not just during Pride, but always.

Some might see “mia san mia” as just a random slogan, but others see it as a reflection of the values the club and we, the fans, choose to uphold.

I appreciate you reminding us of that!

  2. I must admit I did not know about him! Such an important message and human to remember. Is it known if Bayern supported him after his arrests?

  3. “Fc Bayern is taking a stand” while having taken Qatar money and now Ruanda, two states who are very anti homosexuality. We might have him and Landauer in our history and very left supporters, but current leadership and sponsorships are hypocrites imo
